Supernatural is looking for an out-of-this world sales associate for our Birmingham shop. The ideal addition to our team will be someone who is curious, welcoming, self-assured, discrete, and empathetic. You will collaborate closely with the owner to provide exceptional customer service to a luxury clientele. We are looking for dynamic humans who are not only passionate about fashion and lingerie, but sustainability, adding to the beauty of our planet through environmental and interpersonal responsibility. Supernatural is a growing multi-brand boutique and the ideal fit is someone interested in growing with us.
What will you do?
Responsibilities:
- Work the selling floor, developing and maintaining customer relationships, creating a welcoming and pleasant in-store experience
- Keep current on new and evergreen products offered to successfully educate, support, and style customers on purchases for themselves or as gifts
- Achieve sales targets as defined by store owner
- Work with store owner to analyze sales results, inventory levels, and performance periodically
- Keep the sales floor and back stock areas clean, stocked, and well organized
- Processing orders/transactions accurately and efficiently, including online orders
- Contribute to and actively maintain a positive, warm, and friendly atmosphere
What will we expect from you?
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma required
- Retail experience a plus but not required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to stand for the duration of your shift
- Ability to lift, move, and hang merchandise, deliveries, and other items
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
- Comfortable interacting with luxury clientele and remaining professional and discrete
- Strong personal style and taking joy in coming to work in a presentable, professional, and creative attire/personal appearance
- Ability to think & react quickly and self problem-solve/troubleshoot with a positive and proactive handling of various situations
- Proficiency with Google suite of applications, MS Office Suite, and social media channels like Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook
- Strong short and long term memory or strategies to keep client sizes, style preferences, etc. top of mind or easily accessible
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
